Tariq sb, kindly share some plans. Well Taser has already made some plans for the safety like, 1) Dhati, Chemical and Taiz Manja Dours are not allowed 2) Hawai Firing is strictly banned 3) Rescue 1122 is RED ALERT for 2days 4) Mobile Team of Doctors are set up 5) Emergency in all Hospitals 6) Mobile Police teams set up to keep eye on people voilating the rules, they will have laders and they will enter any house without permission. Taser is doing everything to make this event a success (and flop the sit-in) but still to unknown reasons these silly events keeps happening. Around 20 people were injuired because of Hawai firing and throat cut and this only happened on the night of 14march. Many more incidents may happen. We need to understand that this event has gone out of hands and you cannot avoid TAIZ MANJA DOURs and Hawai Firing (you know people keep arms these days and the government cant take arms from everyone)

Another related link is http://www.jang.com.pk/jang/jan2009-daily/18-01-2009/col11.htm I think this is a BIG step backwards, instead of helping more deserving students by giving more grants our government has cut it. We should try to create an educational environment by building new international level schools and universities and providing free education; but if we cannot do it then at least government grants should continue, stopping these grants will only help in worsen the situation. The impact can be much more disastrous then anyone can think of, one of which will be inability of Pakistanis to compete at the international level. Instead of taking a lesson from Malaysia and how Mahathir Mohammad did educational reforms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahathir_bin_Mohamad#Educational_system) we are busy in a tug of war of Punjab government and now another fight between Presidency and Prime Minster has started. It’s really unfortunate that people who are managing the affairs of our country does not have the slightest idea of what should be done and how they can resolve the problems and take the country ahead.

An hour ago on my way back to home, I was thinking about this problem. There will be millions of drivers, so they cannot be taught in some driving school, now the best that can be done is to make some general driving guidelines; which should be distributed and people should be given ample time understand them. Secondly, underage driving should be banned. At least Shehbaz Sharif can take this step and I think instead of making a world class DNA testing Laboratory he should try to first resolve the law and order situation and these kinds of public issues.

on Under-age driving, a big problem which should be tackled

flour is 27/kg but the life of a Pakistani is free for USA.....a bitter reality I think we need to do something to bring more and more people in such protests..... we have to put more pressure on the government and we must not stop unless Dr. Afiya is released.....

This is aggression and I feel to some extent it is government’s responsibility to stop people from doing such an act not by force by changing the mindset and behavior of people by doing progressive work for the nation or they should provide the people a place where public can show their anger and register their protest. You cannot expect people to change on their own under the current social and economic disastrous situation of the country; where Mr. 10% is ruling a nation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asif_Ali_Zardarihttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asif_Ali_Zardari
